Light yellow gold. Attractive, multifaceted aroma, youthful and moderately full, showing a mélange of quince and fennel complemented by a toasted note. The palate reveals more, notably ripe yellow fruits, spice and herbal highlights. At first open, the wine falls off slightly, then continues to reveal a persistent aromatic conclusion. Well-integrated acidity surfaces at the end together with a mouth-coating texture.
Easily the best wine for pairing with Lobster but also delicious with other seafood, puff-pastries, white meats or goat cheeses.

The Bois de Boursan, founded in 1955 by Jean Versino (Jean-Paul’s father), is a ten-hectare domaine with the entirety of its vineyards situated within the confines of the village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Working all of the permitted thirteen cepages for the appellation, the Versino family manages twenty-seven separate parcels of vineyards. The average age of the vines is in excess of fifty years. The domaine is worked organically without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides.Further, the vinification is traditional to its core: the grapes for the red are not destemmed, the cuvaison extends for at least three weeks and the elevage in wood of varying size and age is eighteen months or longer. The wines, both red and white, are age-worthy. |

1874, The first buildings are constructed. Six generations succeed each other at Domaine Santa Duc, each adding their own contribution to its development. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault; the Gras family are committed to bringing out the best in these noble grapes. Massal selections, biodynamics, whole cluster vinification, fermentation with wild yeasts, minimum intervention, non-filtered wines…. Parcel by parcel, Benjamin Gras maintains this meticulous approach at the head of the estate, engaging this heritage and these skills in the service of two immense terroirs of the southern Rhone Valley – Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. |

Domaine de la Janasse is sourced from a wide variety of terroirs, totaling about 10 hectares, located in the northern part of the appellation and supplemented with a small portion of fruit from Le Crau. About 80% Grenache in most vintages, the rest of the blend includes varying amounts of Syrah, Mourvedre, and a bit of Cinsault. Harvested by hand, the fruit is mostly destemmed (about 20% whole clusters are retained) with fermentation in oak and concrete vats. Macerations average between 21-28 days with daily, manual pigeage. The wine is then aged in foudre (80% – Grenache) and French oak barrels (20% – Syrah & Mourvedre) of which a third are new.
With an ample and structured substance, this cuvée is well-balanced, whose notes of black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), combined with aromas of violets, cover a long and silky mouth, all in nerve

2014 vintage, is characterized by fruity wines, a good balance, less alcohol than the average ( 1%vol less), ample and round mouths with fine and well incorporated tannins. White wines have beautiful acidities, offering wines on tensions. 2014 leads us to predict a good potential of ageing for those who will have the patience to keep them enough time. |

Isabel Ferrando is a great story. Coming from the banking business outside of the Rhone but loving the wines, along with her husband, she acquired an estate of over 42 acres and has since added some additional acreage, now totaling 55 acres. In both 2009 and 2010, she has gone to 100% stem inclusion during her fermentation. |
