🇫🇷🇫🇷 CHENE BLEU 🇫🇷🇫🇷

🇫🇷🇫🇷 CHENE BLEU 🇫🇷🇫🇷

🇫🇷 CHENE BLEU 🇫🇷
Blessed with a confluence of natural factors, Chêne Bleu has the benefit of an exceptional location, multifaceted geology, and a southern Rhône climate with soils more typical of the northern Rhône.
Isolated and protected, high in a mountain saddle, Chêne Bleu has its provenance in a unique, four-corner borderland of the département of Vaucluse in the southern Rhône, where the boundaries of Gigondas, Côtes du Ventoux, Côtes du Rhône and Séguret come together. This area is located in the foothills of Mont Ventoux, 550 to 630 meters (1,800 to 2,000 feet) above sea level, on the northern slopes of a spectacular limestone outcropping known as the Dentelles de Montmirail (from the Latin “Mons Mirabilis, meaning “Lace of Marvelous Mountains”). It enjoys an exceptional terroir due to this pristine, remote location and its complex geology, with many exposed strata of rock.
Xavier and Nicole Rolet purchased the property in 1993, enchanted by the secluded location of the vineyard and the history of the ancient priory that had been built nearly 1,000 years ago. The estate had been abandoned for much of the previous century, and the buildings were in ruins. The Rolets became completely passionate about every aspect of the place and the project, determined to do absolutely everything necessary to bring it to the highest possible world standards. A decade of meticulous work was required to restore the priory and nurture the neglected vineyards back to health.

Chene Bleu IGP Vaucluse Rosé 2021
Appearance : Clear, pale rose pink.
Nose : Strawberries and citrus with hints of jasmine blossom.
Palate : Expressive summer fruits, fresh, full-bodied, crisp and long on the finish.
$49.99
Chene Bleu Pont des Arts V.V Vaucluse Rose 2015
Appearance: Bright and clear delicate pale pink
Nose: Red currant, with notes of pink grapefruit and exotic fruits
Palate: Fresh, full-bodied, very fruity with notes of citrus; crisp and long on the finish.
Fresh but disciplined. A blend of Syrah and Grenache, our Rosé is a finely textured, complex Syrah-Grenache blend. Importantly, it is made in a multi-step process relying on skin contact - a short maceration, not by the traditional saignée method - in order to reveal the full texture and character of the grape variety and give it nice length and structure.

Chene Bleu Heloise IGP Vaucluse 2012
Appearance: Deep, garnet red.
Nose: Concentrated and rich, with notes of sweet spice, liquorice, prunes and a hint of truffle.
Palate: Full-bodied and round with silky tannins.
Finish: Rich and long.
Restrained but unwavering elegance. Our Syrah blend is named Héloïse for its balance of concentration and restraint, and its ripe, supple texture. Our fine Syrahs blend beautifully with the highly perfumed Grenache, but also blossom with the floral notes of our high-altitude Viognier, bringing Héloïse stylistically closer to her cousins in the Northern Rhône.

Chene Bleu Abélard IGP Vaucluse 2012
Appearance: A very deep ruby
Nose: Ripe blackberry, garrigue, licorice and spice
Palate: Intense and concentrated, blackberry, morello cherry and spice; silky tannins bring structure and depth to the wine; elegant and powerful, distinctly masculine.
We named our Grenache blend ABÉLARD to reflect its forceful, masculine, brooding intensity. Our mature (25 year old plus) Grenache flourishes at this high altitude and at harvest the scent of wild strawberries and black fruit wafts through the winery. We have striven to capture and showcase this highly perfumed aroma.
