While Barolo’s ability to age is very well known, many of our go-to Italian reds from last century come from its next-door neighbor in Barbaresco. What we look for are traditional producers who farmed old vineyards in balanced vintages. And what we often find is mature wine offering phenomenal value for the price. This 25 year-old Barbaresco from Dante Rivietti illustrates that perfectly.
