Domaine Henri Germain is one of the top producers of Burgundy wine today. Clos des Mouches is a tiny, walled monopole belonging to Henri Germain and devoted to Pinot Noir. The old Pinot Fin vines (planted in 1949) produce very low yields. It's supple, elegant, balanced, light to medium-bodied, fleshy, and finely textured with lively acidity, easy tannins, and a saline finish. Vibrant flavors of raspberry, cherry, strawberry, earth, oak, orange rind, and spices abound.
