As one would expect, the 2015 les Baudes has a bit more black fruit to it this year than the Chabiots, but this wine too is all in finesse and purity. The bouquet is very transparent and pure, offering up scents of red and black cherries, cocoa, violets, a lovely base of soil, gamebird and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very sappy at the core, with lovely soil signature, suave, seamless tannins and a very long, vibrant and beautifully balanced finish.
