Muted stony nose. Fresh attack, showing density of fruit, spicy and assertive, with a sweet and sour tone and ample acidity. There's an intriguing stony, saline finish. This has length and personality.

Les Referts is a Premier Cru vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, arguably the finest white wine-producing village in the whole of Burgundy. Like most of the village, Les Referts is planted to Chardonnay, although this vineyard's position at the base of the hill gives a slightly richer, less-refined wine than is usually associated with Puligny-Montrachet wines.
