Musician turned winemaker Julien Cruchandeau has been farming Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and NSG since 2010, producing small-batch wines in a hands-off style. ‘Les Cabottes’ is just as fun and crowd-pleasing as its maker, showing flavors of crunchy red fruit, mushrooms, and wet earth, marked by silky, well-integrated tannins. Serve slightly chilled with red meats, risotto, or game.

Two separate east facing vineyards totaling 2.5 hectares. Yields are kept very low.

Native yeast fermentation. Produced in two tanks, 90% whole cluster in one tank, 100% destemmed in another. Aged 15 months on lees in stainless steel.
