From vines planted in 1956. The soil is clayey and deep although there is more limestone in the upper part of the parcel. These vines are situated at the start of the slope and face east. Made with twenty percent whole cluster.

"Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Fournaux 1er Cru comes from a parcel planted after the frosts in 1956. It has a beautiful, pixelated bouquet with vibrant red cherries, crushed strawberry and a blue fruit top notes, all underwritten by a fine line of mineralité. The palate is very well balanced, displaying supple tannin, a nearly perfect line of acidity and such vivacity and focus on the finish that you are already itching for the next sip. This is a great Savigny."
