A riper but still agreeably fresh nose offers up notes of black raspberry, red cherry and an interesting hint of exotic Asian-style spice elements. The cool, pure and vibrant flavors are not quite as dense, but they are noticeably finer while exuding a subtle minerality on the beautifully complex and persistent finish. This too is absolutely outstanding for what it is as it's rare to find this quality at the villages level and particularly so in Monthélie.
