A lovely and refeshing Hautes Cotes de Beaune highlighted by aromas of raspberry and cassis, along with a delicate spice. Pierre Boisson is drawn to the "mountain" terroirs of Auxey and the Hautes Cotes de Beaune, for both their stony terroirs and lower temperatures.
When his father retired in 2016, Pierre Boisson took over the iconic Domaine Boisson-Vadot in Meursault. He began bottling wines under his own label, and quickly established himself as one of Burgundy’s brightest rising stars. His Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge comes from the hills just west of Meursault, an area known for its cool nights and long growing season. The resulting Red Burgundy is lifted, aromatic, and subtly spicy.
