The domaine has five parcels across the village and blends them to make a beautiful Chambolle Musigny. Damson, spice and black forest fruit. With a fine feeling of purity, the tannic core gives the impression of firmness. This wine has excellent dimension and persistence.
The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Village, a blend of five plots, has a well-defined bouquet, red and black fruit intermixed with blood orange. The stems are neatly assimilate here. The palate is well balanced with crunchy spicy red fruit laced with pain d'epices, nicely focused on the slightly brittle finish. Fine. Drink 2025-2035.
Anne-Francoise Gros (Vosne-Romanee) is married to Francois Parent (Pommard) and live in the latter commune, though their wines have been made in their impressive premises in Beaune since the late 1990`s. The domaine is made up of Anne-Francoise’s portion of Domaine Jean Gros, yet other wines from in and around Vosne-Romanée are made from vineyards which she has bought or leased, as well as her husband’s part of Domaine Parent. Francois also creates wines under his own label, recognizable by the distinct image of a black truffle.
