Inky black cherry in color. Cured meats, white pepper, subtle poblano spice, dried oregano, kalamata olives, blackberry, pipe tobacco, French-roast coffee, and baker's chocolate.
In the mouth, this is a fantastic, herculean Syrah with folded textural complexity and fine but copious tannins that support a dark-fruited beauty of a wine that demands a pairing of char-grilled red meats.
