This is from 40+ year old vines from one of the top 1er Crus in Pommard. The nose has aromas of blackberry, blueberry and plum. The palate is powerful and structured with a good amount of minerality. This wine is age-worthy.
Considered one of the top 1er Crus in Pommard. 1 ha split between two plots 2- upper (20 yrs) and lower (50 yrs). Soil is very rocky red soil due to high iron oxide content with limestone deposits close to the surface of the steep slope (320 m). 100% de-stemmed, native yeast aged in barrel (25% new).
