Herzstück – literally “heart piece” – is an expression regularly employed to refer to the best portion of a given site. Walter Strub points out that in this instance it also refers to the wine in question having derived from the heart of the pressing, with any juice that required additional pressure to extract having been diverted to the estate’s “Soil to Soul” cuvée. The nose features pear, white peach, honeydew and lime, setting the stage for a juicy and lusciously ripe impression on a silken-textured palate.
