We sited B. Wise Vineyards on top of a ridge that looks down over the Sonoma Valley. While this was partly a vineyard decision, it’s also our home. This is a benevolent climate, a place you can live outdoors. I put in peach trees and persimmons, and avocados that everyone says won’t fruit this far north, but I’ve got fruit on them. It comes from being a farmer’s son and grandson. It’s through this bent of farming that we’re able to make wines that satisfy something deep down.

The B. Wise TRIOS 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a unique expression of the red soils of Moon Mountain District estate vineyard. The wine brings together noble Bordeaux varietals in a classic blend with a Rhône Valley twist. The blend is driven by Cabernet Sauvignon and balanced with other varietals bringing both tension and texture to the wine. Syrah gives a touch of earth and spice. Cherry, raspberry, and cassis fruits lead the aromas. Undertones of bramble, floral, creosote, and citrus support the fruit. Further notes of vanilla, anise, mineral, and oak anchor the flavor. Medium to full bodied, caressing tannins provide pleasing texture and a dry finish. Best 2021-2031. Blend: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Franc, 1% Tannat.
