The Domaine Bachelet has produced since the 18th century. Today, the estate exploits 9 hectares, half in white, half in red. The vineyard is split on 3 villages: St Aubin (40%), Chassagne-Montrachet (47%) and Puligny-Montrachet (13%). The plots are cultivated in reasoned protection. All the wine are traditionally vinified and aged in oak barrels in the cellar for 18 months before the bottling.
Derrière la Tour comes from a .91 hectare parcel situated “behind the church tower” in Gamay, planted with 40 year-old vines with south/southwest exposure. 100% de-stemmed. Fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel. 10% new oak. Aged 2 years in barrel.
