The look: intense and luminous golden hue. The nose: aromas of melted wood blend delicately with notes of vanilla and dried fruits.(apricot, almond, hazelnut). The mouth: subtle floral and fruity notes combine with vanilla, with great finesse. The finish offers a nice length with the elegance of Petite Champagne and the fruity aromas of Fins Bois.
The Cognac house of A. Edmond Audry was founded in 1878 by the great-great-grandfather of the current owner, Parisian lawyer Bernard Boisson. In the early 1950s, Audry stopped selling Cognac, but some very old stocks were held back in reserve with the hope the house would rise again one day. That day came in 1978, when Bernard resurrected the dormant family estate. Audry is now made by a master blender who combines the ancient reserve with a few lots bought from a select group of Charentais growers. Audry Cognacs are among the world's finest, and the original stocks allow them to produce a very high-quality, artisanal selection of Cognacs.
