Sassella comes from the Italian word "sasso," as this area is the rockiest subzone of the Valtellina Superiore DOCG. Riserva is a selection of the best grapes from the oldest and steepest vineyards in the best vintages. Sassella is the product of the best-known Valtellina Superiore’s subzone, with soils rich in iron. Delicate, ethereal aromas with notes of nuts, cherry, and damson plum. It is well-balanced on the palate with a long, velvety finish.
