This Extra Añejo is a reflection of its unique terroir. Harvested from the 2021 rancho La Ladera — 'The Hillside' — this single estate field sits at an altitude of over 2,100 meters, with rocky, red mineral soil and a steep slope. The agave plants here thrive in tough conditions, yielding smaller, yet sugar-rich piñas that carry over 30% sugar content. This stress on the plants leads to a more concentrated and complex flavor in the tequila, beautifully showcased in each bottle of our Extra Añejo. Aged for three years, this vintage is a true expression of the land.
• Aroma : Dried fruits like raisins and peach, dark chocolate, salted caramel, vanilla, cooked agave, toffee, and fresh oak.
• Taste: Cooked agave, roasted coffee, nuts, orange peel, hints of black pepper, cherries, and oak.
• Body & Color: Aged for 3 years in ex-American oak whiskey barrels, giving it a darker amber color with light green and golden reflections.
• Finish: Long-lasting vanilla, coffee, and fresh oak finish, intense cooked agave, and round mouthfeel.
