In the third generation of the winemaking Broccardo family, siblings Fillipo, Federica, and Laura choose to follow in the steps of their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. The goal remains the same, which is to say they haven’t changed much of anything at all; there is only a stronger push forward with organic practices. The Broccardo wines strive to elegantly express the precise minerality typical of their native soils. With prime vineyard positions in Monforte d’Alba, Barolo, and Novello, the task is no chore. The grapes do the work themselves, and are simply ushered, with slight hand, from vine to cellar to bottle.
With a minerality edging on tannin, this is a serious and structured value wine. Soft, and bright with yellow fruit, this direct-press wine carries a little weight and great freshness.
