Hints of wood complement the spicy purple fruit and earthy aromas in this wine. With a succulent, rounded texture, it offers solid density and mid-palate volume, culminating in a balanced and firm finish with a touch of stony character. Elegant and toasty with vanilla undertones, it's truly delightful.
Chassagne-Montrachet “Clos St. Jean”: (from sandy and rather light soil). A somber but spicier nose of plum and various wild dark berries is trimmed in hints of warm earth. The suave, round and delicious medium-bodied flavors possess a seductive mid-palate texture, all wrapped in a less mineral-driven but more complex finale that is slightly firmer. This offers very good development potential yet could also be approached young if desired.
