Homenagem is an homage to the current owner's father and grandfather.
Its rich fruit, this field blend made from old vines, breaks the mold of reds from the north of Portugal. Dense and firm, it has a tannic element as well as acidity.
Single vineyard, old vine field blend (Sousao, Touriga Nacional, Merlot...) dating back to 1940s. Stainless Steel fermentation with 5 months aging new French oak, it is elegant with a modern element. Hand harvested. Casa do Valle is an old estate dating back to 18th century, with the current family first producing wines in 1989. Basto, Minho, Portugal.
